PCI DSS Certification in Delhi, Audit-Ready and On Time

PCI DSS certification in Delhi requires 3 to 6 months of structured work. It applies to every organisation that stores, transmits or processes cardholder data. We map the cardholder data environment, then reduce it through segmentation. A gap assessment sets the remediation plan, and we validate every control.

The 100% first-attempt pass rate still holds. A written fixed-fee quote arrives within 48 hours. We travel to your Delhi locations.

Why it matters here

Why PCI DSS Compliance in Delhi Gets Harder Each Year

The capital region runs a large share of India's digital payments. Two of India's biggest wallet and payments firms sit in Noida and Gurugram. When RBI stopped a large NCR payments bank from taking new deposits in January 2024, it cited persistent non-compliance. That was a supervisory action, not a PCI finding. Still, it showed NCR's payments firms how closely RBI now reads their controls. PCI DSS certification is what keeps an aggregator onboarding you, whatever the local regulator decides next.

The rules keep growing. RBI's Master Direction on Payment Aggregators, issued in September 2025, requires every aggregator to comply with PCI DSS. It must also check each merchant's PCI status at onboarding and make sure merchants do not store card data. Many of those aggregators and their merchants sit in Delhi NCR.

Fraud pressure is real too. Reports put Delhi residents' 2025 cyber-fraud losses at somewhere between ₹1,000 crore and ₹2,100 crore, depending on the outlet. That covers all cyber fraud, from investment scams to fake bosses asking finance staff to pay. It is not a card-breach figure, but it shows why staff training and tight access matter. Our PCI DSS consultants in Delhi work with teams around Connaught Place, Nehru Place, Okhla and across NCR.

The ISpectra Method

How We Run a PCI DSS Audit in Delhi NCR: 6 Stages

Each stage has a fixed fee and a clear hand-off. Nothing moves on until you have seen and approved the output.

01

Free scoping workshop

In 90 minutes we agree if you act as a merchant, a service provider or both. Many NCR fintechs are both. We then draw a first sketch of your card flows.

02

Data flow and network mapping

We follow each card number from checkout, IVR or API call to storage and back. Every system that holds, sends or can affect it goes into scope.

03

Gap assessment against

We assess your environment against each control. The result is a ranked remediation plan, with owners and dates, that your leadership can track.

04

Remediation and segmentation

We remediate each identified gap: isolate the cardholder data environment, harden servers, add MFA, centralise logging and lock down payment-page scripts.

05

Scanning and testing

Quarterly ASV scans, internal scans, segmentation tests and the yearly pen test. We retest each fix so the evidence is clean.

06

Sign-off and yearly upkeep

We finish your SAQ or guide the QSA audit to a RoC, deliver the AoC and keep your scope, scans and training current.

PCI DSS v4.0.1 · 12 Requirements

The 12 PCI DSS Requirements for Delhi Businesses, Explained

PCI DSS sets out 12 requirements. This is how each one lands in a Delhi business that handles card data, such as an aggregator, a retailer or a contact centre.

1

Install and maintain network security controls

Rules that keep the payment network apart from the agent floor, the guest network and the corporate LAN.

2

Apply secure configurations to all system components

Every POS, server and cloud instance starts from a hardened template. Vendor default logins are removed.

3

Protect stored account data

Store the least card data you can. RBI's tokenisation rules already bar most merchants from keeping the card number.

4

Protect cardholder data with strong cryptography in transit

Card data moving between your app, your aggregator and the bank is always sent over strong encryption.

5

Protect all systems and networks from malicious software

Anti-malware on every exposed system. A 2022 ransomware attack on a major Delhi public hospital reportedly began with a phishing email.

6

Develop and maintain secure systems and software

Secure code, quick patches and a list of every script on your checkout page, with checks that each one is approved.

7

Restrict access by business need-to-know

A collections agent, a developer, and a finance manager each get only the access their role needs.

8

Identify users and authenticate access

Unique IDs for every user and MFA for all access to the CDE, including admins working from home.

9

Restrict physical access to cardholder data

Badge control for server rooms and agent floors, visitor logs and safe disposal of paper and media.

10

Log and monitor all access

Central logs kept 12 months, 3 of them instantly searchable. CERT-In adds a 180-day rule for logs kept in India.

11

Test security of systems and networks regularly

External ASV scans each quarter, internal scans, pen tests and proof that your segmentation holds.

12

Support information security with organizational policies and programs

Policies, a yearly scope review, vendor oversight, an incident plan and phishing training for finance and payments staff.

Picking the Right SAQ for Your Delhi Business

A Report on Compliance is not always needed. Smaller merchants validate with a Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ). Your card flow decides which one, and we confirm it with your acquirer early.

Card brands set these levels based on your yearly transaction count. Service providers use a separate two-level scheme, with Level 1 above 300,000 card transactions a year.

SAQ A

Your site sends buyers to a fully hosted, PCI-validated payment page. You never touch card data electronically.

SAQ A-EP

A payment partner handles the card, but your own web page can still affect how it is captured. Common for D2C brands.

SAQ B

Only imprint machines or standalone dial-out terminals, and no electronic card storage.

SAQ B-IP

Standalone, PTS-approved terminals linked to the processor over IP, as used by many showrooms.

SAQ C

A payment application connected to the internet, with no electronic card data kept on your side.

SAQ C-VT

Staff key in one card at a time on a web-based virtual terminal, for example for phone orders.

SAQ P2PE

Only hardware terminals that belong to a listed point-to-point encryption (P2PE) solution.

SAQ D

All other merchants and every service provider, such as an NCR aggregator or processor. It covers the full standard.

Merchant levels in Delhi

LevelYearly volume or triggerHow you validate
Level 1Over 6 million card transactions, or any merchant that has had a breachYearly on-site QSA assessment and Report on Compliance
Level 21 to 6 million card transactionsYearly SAQ and ASV scans; some acquirers want a RoC
Level 320,000 to 1 million e-commerce transactionsYearly SAQ and quarterly ASV scans
Level 4Under 20,000 e-commerce transactions (or under 1 million overall)Yearly SAQ and quarterly ASV scans, per acquirer

FAQ

PCI DSS in Delhi: Frequently Asked Questions

PCI DSS cost for Delhi businesses depends on your merchant level, how many systems touch card data and whether a QSA must write a Report on Compliance. We send a fixed-fee quote within 48 hours.
PCI DSS for payment aggregators in Delhi NCR starts with RBI's September 2025 Master Direction, which says aggregators must comply. They must also make sure merchants do not store card data, check merchant PCI status at onboarding and pass a yearly audit by a CERT-In empanelled auditor.
Noida and Gurugram contact centres take card payments safely by keeping card numbers away from agents, screens and call recordings. DTMF masking lets callers key digits that agents never hear. Pay-by-link moves the payment off the call. Both shrink your PCI DSS scope.
Yes, CERT-In rules add to your PCI DSS work in Delhi. CERT-In, based in New Delhi, requires reportable incidents to be flagged within 6 hours. It also wants ICT logs kept in India for 180 days. PCI DSS asks for 12 months of logs, so one logging setup can meet both.
PCI DSS in Delhi takes 3 to 6 months, for any merchant level and for service providers. The size of your card scope decides where you fall. Quarterly ASV scans and the yearly assessment continue afterwards as recurring work.
Partly: PCI DSS now requires security training that covers phishing and social engineering. Reports on Delhi's 2025 cyber fraud list these scams, where fraudsters pose as a senior leader to push staff into paying. That training helps Delhi staff spot them.
No, tokenisation does not take a Delhi business out of PCI DSS scope. Since 1 October 2022, only card issuers and networks may store real card numbers. Tokens shrink your scope, but systems that capture or send the card number at checkout stay in scope.
Your acquirer or client asks for an Attestation of Compliance, backed by either an SAQ or a QSA's Report on Compliance. That pack is what buyers mean by PCI DSS certification in New Delhi and NCR.
A Delhi D2C brand whose partner fully hosts the payment page usually fits SAQ A. If your own page loads the payment form, it is often SAQ A-EP. We confirm with your acquirer before any work starts.
Yes, one Delhi programme can cover PCI DSS, ISO 27001 and DPDP together. Many controls are shared, from access rules to logging and training. Building them once saves time and gives each auditor the same evidence.
