Surgical instruments are reused. After every procedure they return to the CSSD to be cleaned, inspected, packed and sterilised before going back to theatre. Each stage is captured with a scan on the CSSD floor, so the record builds itself as the work is done — against the machine, the operator, the load and, finally, the patient.

Two labels, one unbroken chain of custody
SterilCore pairs a permanent tray barcode with a disposable per-cycle QR pouch label — matching established GCC CSSD practice. The barcode says which tray it is; the QR label says how it was processed this time.
Scanning the pouch at issue and again at the point of use closes the loop between the CSSD and the operating theatre, which is what makes patient-level traceability possible.
